Nineteen dancers turned up to welcome in the New Year with Folk North West at our ‘New Year Start Up’ meeting, braving the dim and dismal
weather to come and enjoy an afternoon of bright and happy dance!

This was an afternoon to allow callers of all levels of experience get some practice, try out new dances, try out more complex dances, try out
some fun dances; one such dance was “Gooseberry Pie” a dance for fifteen, with an Alamo Wheel - a huge wheel formation revolving in time
to the music! Perhaps not everybody’s cup of tea but an interesting thought nonetheless and where else could you experiment with experienced dancers willing to ‘give it a go’?

Our next meeting is on January 14 when we return to firmer ground with Andrew Shaw leading the dancing and Norman and Denise providing the
music; come along and enjoy!
